On April 23, the first lecture of “Master Lecture Hall” in 2021, co-sponsored by School of Mathematical Sciences and Institute of Applied System Analysis of Jiangsu University, was successfully delivered on the cloud. The guest speaker is Professor Changfeng Gui, a famous Chinese mathematician. More than 100 teachers and students attended the lecture, including professor Junping Shi from the college of William and Mary, professor Qinghan from the university of Notre Dame, professor Yang Wen from Wuhan institute of physics and mathematics, Chinese academy of sciences, professor Lu Xu from Hunan university, professor Jun Yang from Guangzhou university, professor Danping Ding from Jiangsu university. Before the lecture began, dean Zhitao Zhang made a welcome speech, then vice dean Jun Wang made a brief introduction to professor Changfeng Gui and presided over the lecture.

Professor ChangFeng Gui with "New Sharp inequalities and analysis and geometry" as the great academic report. He first introduced some basic concepts of the Trudinger-Moser inequality and the best constant conjecture of the Moser-Trudinger inequality. Then, he introduced his latest research achievement in the field of  Trudinger-Moser inequality: he found a new class of sphere-covering inequalities, and how to successfully use the sphere-covering inequalities to solve the best constant conjections of Moser-Trudinger inequality. Professor Gui's language is easy to understand. With his explanation, the teachers and students at the conference had a certain understanding of the relevant knowledge and increased their own knowledge reserve. After the lecture, Professor Gui answered questions from teachers and students, and had an in-depth discussion with them on academic issues.
